S. Bartolomeu Festivities

Considered by many Northern Minho’s most genuine pilgrimage, S. Bartolomeu is one of Ponte da Barca’s most important tourist attractions. During six days (from the19th to 24th of august) the village gets all dressed up to welcome the municipality’s patron saint. On those nights, animation, magic, music and dance invade local streets, offering the thousands of people who visit this authentic Minho festival, unique moments, always to the sound of the most cheerful dances and concertinas, both of which make this pilgrimage one of Northern Minho’s largest summer attractions.
