Briteiros Fortified Settlement( (“Citânia de Briteiros”) Classified as a National Monument, it’s a large compound of archaeological ruins of an important proto-historic settlement, first inhabited more than 2000 years ago, in the Iron Age. One of the first urban experiences in North-western Iberia, the site has a total area of 24 hectares, and its public open zone has 7 hectares of uncovered ruins, which correspond to the excavated area. |
