S. Bento da Porta Aberta

A pillar of local life, the centennial temple is known for the unmatchable devotion of thousands of pilgrims that every year arrive from all around. A place where stopping is mandatory, here one sees and feels the beliefs of a people on their daily and nightly vigils – a tradition tied to March 21st and July 11th, but especially to August 12th and 13th, when religious and profane join hands during the municipality’s largest festivities.
