Tourist Villages On the slopes of the Amarela Mountain and very close to the Peneda Gerês National Park, it is still possible to discover several mountain villages. The villages of Brufe and Cortinhas reveal a high rural heritage, with their granite houses, granaries, threshing floors and water mills. The village of Cutelo is also home to several examples of popular and rural architecture, along with other heritage sites built as tombs of Celtic times and evidence of Roman fortifications. On the opposite side of the municipality, the village of Santa Isabel do Monte is also a charming place. Dare to walk along the Castle and the Watermills trails which lead us to discover the built heritage as well as the fields and woods that exist here. In a harmonious environment and in full communion with nature, it is best to go and stay to better discover all these charms. |
