Feira da Ladra

It is in a festive atmosphere that Vieira do Minho receives thousands of strangers on the first Saturday, Sunday and Monday of October. Anyone who travels to the village of Vieira do Minho in these days will feel involved with the frenzy, the music and the joy of this great party that is already considered a landmark in the region. The program of activities includes ox fights, horse races, concerts, folklore, philharmonic bands, concertinas, ethnographic parades, pyrotechnics, among other agricultural, recreational and commercial activities. Its designation, according to the legend, it is due to the use of the "ladra", a stick cracked in the tip that pilgrims once used to steal grape bunches along the paths they traveled to reach the village of Vieira do Minho.
