Sistelo

In the heart of the Peneda-Gêres National Park, near the source of the river Vez, the village of Sistelo, classified as Cultural Landscape and winner of the 7 Wonders of Portugal – Villages in the category of Rural Village, is a must-see. Known for the terraces, to discover the surrounding nature, it is worth going up to the viewpoint of the Chã de Armada or going through the paths of the Trail of Brandas de Sistelo. The built heritage is also worthy of note, especially the Castle of the 19th century, the House of the Visconde de Sistelo, the bridges, the mills and the granaries, the chapels or the parish church.
