Santo André de Rendufe Monastery This Benedictine Monastery, in the parish of Rendufe, was probably founded in the 12th century and it underwent a lot of work in the 18th century, during which the current church was also edified. In its interior, we come across one of the most notable collections of rococo style gold carvings. In the centre of the courtyard stands a fountain in chiselled stone. A special note on the 18th century baroque garden, located in the middle of the monastery, the several flowery stonemasons and the beautiful fountain. The monastery has been classified as Property of Public Interest, since 1943. |
