Inaugurated in 2004, it is a journey of more than twenty kilometers linked to that international stretch of water that deserves widespread praise and applause. Along the route between the historical centers of Monção and Valença, there are reasons for interest that make this ecological way, the first in Portugal to take advantage of disabled rail lines, a reference for those who like to practice sport in communion with nature. In 2009, at the 4th European Greenways Meeting held in Belgium, it was ranked as the fourth best ecopist in Europe.
