The Stag Vila Nova de Cerveira, also known as 'Terras de Cervaria', is associated with a historical icon and contemporary art, the Stag. In honor of the symbol of the village, the sculptor José Rodrigues erected an imposing sculpture in one of the highest points of the municipality, Crasto hilltop, where once the deer covered the fertile slopes and where the first Castle of Cerveira would be located. Wrapped in a space that invites to the leisure and small pedestrian routes in the mountain range, and due to its location, the Stag's belvedere presents itself as one of the most emblematic of the region, offering a stunning view over the village and the Minho river. |
