Nossa Senhora da Franqueira Hermitage

In addition to nature in its purest form, the ruins of the Castle of Faria, the Convent of the Friars and the sight on the city of Barcelos and the Valley of the Cávado to thesea that can be appreciated from this belvedere, the Franqueira Mountain shelters the beautiful Hermitage of Nossa Senhora da Franqueira. Classified as a Property of Public Interest, it is the scene of an important and felt pilgrimage to which the faithful give body every year in August.
